UCR Governmental Relations
Governmental Relations is the primary link between the campus and local, regional, state and federal elected officials. It supports and promotes the university's missions of research, teaching and public service through advocacy, issue management, and functioning as a liaison with government, community and campus constituencies.
It also oversees the UCR Advocacy Network, a group of alumni and friends who actively support the University of California's mission through lobbying efforts.
UCR Technology Commercialization
One way that UCR serves the public at large is by making the results of its research available for use. UCR's Office of Technology Commercialization in the Office of Research licenses intellectual property to industry to promote development and commercialization of inventions. Royalties from these licenses helps support further research and education.
