Fees & Financial Aid

About 70 percent of all UCR students receive some form of financial aid, including:

  • Grants provided by the federal government, the state of California and UCR. Awarded on the basis of financial need.
  • Scholarships awarded on the basis of merit, academic achievement, athletic ability or special talents. Provided by UCR and outside agencies.
  • The Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan which covers your system-wide fees if you are a California resident whose family earns less than $80,000 a year (as of 2011-12) and you qualify for financial aid.
  • Loans provided by the federal government, UCR and private lenders.
  • Work opportunities through the Federal Work Study program, coordinated by UCR’s Career Services Office.
