A Legacy of Promise

Invest in UCR’s future with a legacy gift. You can make a lasting impact at the university while providing for yourself and your family through gift planning. You may direct whether your legacy gift will add to the pipeline of support for the university’s groundbreaking research, create scholarships for deserving students, sustain cherished academic programs, or simply add to the general health and well-being of UC Riverside — for generations to come.

Kim Wilcox“What is a legacy? The word legacy comes from the Latin legati, ambassadors sent by Rome in ancient times to a province or foreign country. Today, Merriam-Webster defines legacy as ‘a gift by will especially of money or other personal property.’

So, how are the two definitions related? Simple: Your bequest—your legacy gift—to UCR is your ambassador to the future. It’s your direct line to future generations of students and researchers to help them live their promise.”
