R'side Events: Bringing Great Entertainment to Campus
With annual events and weekly concerts, there is always something to look forward to at UCR. Partnerships between Associated Students Program Board, various departments and student organizations have been established, to bring once-in-a-lifetime performances right here on campus.
What is the Associated Students Program Board (ASPB)?
Associated Students Program Board (ASPB) is working hard to bring quality entertainment and activity to campus. Funded by student fees, the ASPB board is made up of 15 appointed board members who vote on the concerts, special films, lectures and cultural activities that the board produces. Support is also received from the Student Life Office and the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs.
Block Party The first big bash of the academic year, Block Party brings big-named artists, student organizations, food and more to campus. Each year keeps getting bigger and better. UCR students with their R'Card, and one guest are allowed in free. Check out photos from prior years, or see what's in store for the annual welcome back Highlanders party.
HEAT HEAT has become one of hottest events of the year in the Inland Empire. Featuring multiple stages with a diverse lineup of contemporary artists, and an open air dance tent with electronic artists and DJs, there is something for everyone. Students can obtain a free ticket and purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate.
Spring Splash Celebrate spring in style at our annual outdoor music festival, Spring Splash. Have fun with friends, activities and food while watching contemporary artists perform on a central stage.
Barn Concert Series The Barn Concert Series, hosted by KUCR, brings a solid mixture of underground and popular performers to campus every Wednesday night. Concerts are held in the historic UCR venue, the Barn, whose past acts include Bob Dylan, Social Distortion and No Doubt. Students may purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
Nooner Concerts at the Bell TowerOpen-to-all mini concerts are held every Wednesday at noon under the Bell Tower. Enjoy lunch or break time with a live performance by local or up-and-coming artists.
