Where Campus & Community Celebrate the Arts
When construction is complete, the Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts will become the third component of UC Riverside's ARTSblock, bringing the university and community together in a celebration of the arts.
The Culver Center is scheduled to open in 2009 in a renovated historic department store in the heart of downtown Riverside. Adjacent to the UCR/California Museum of Photography and the Sweeney Art Gallery, the Culver Center will be home to exhibition and performance facilities, dance studios, a digital media lab and a 90-seat screening room. It will be devoted to emerging graduate and undergraduate arts programs, faculty research and performances.
