How much influence do parents, schools, peer groups and culture have on a child’s inclination towards risky behavior or health-promoting ways? Those are among the questions the Healthy Families Project seeks to understand.
Under the direction of long-time psychology professor Barbara J. Tinsley, the group also studies how parents and children communicate about sex and how families make decisions about health-related issues.
