From the Chair of the UC Riverside Foundation

The UC Riverside Foundation was established in 1974. This non-profit corporation is a catalyst and conduit through which philanthropic resources flow to the University of California, Riverside. The foundation receives and manages gifts from individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundations for the sole benefit of UCR in accordance with the donors’ wishes.
The success of the UC Riverside Foundation is driven by the financial support of our dedicated and generous alumni, friends, parents and friends, who understand that the research and teaching taking place in UCR’s classrooms and laboratories will positively impact our world. As the foundation grows, so does the investment in the colleges, schools, programs, research, and students of UCR — a place where ideas are explored and knowledge is created.
The Board of Trustees oversees the UC Riverside Foundation. The trustees — more than 50 men and women from across the region, state, and nation — are leaders in their fields and care deeply about UCR. They advance UCR’s mission by giving personally and opening doors to increase private support and collaboration between their industries and the University’s programs. You will find the names of the foundation’s generous trustees on UCR’s schools, colleges and programs; endowed academic chairs; and scholarships and fellowships.
We are fortunate to work with UCR Chancellor Timothy White whose leadership, vision and compassion for every aspect of this university stirs our imaginations. Chancellor White has asked the foundation Board of Trustees to focus its fundraising efforts on three key initiatives for the 2009-2010 year – scholarships and fellowships, UCR’s School of Medicine, and the renovation of the Athletics Practice Center. We hope you will join with us in these efforts!
I invite you to become involved in our university, to share in our success and invest in our bright future. For more information, please visit the UCR Development Web site.
I thank you for your interest and support.
