Living Choices
When you’re choosing a college, you shouldn’t have to worry about where you’ll live. UC Riverside Housing Services is committed to providing undergraduate and graduate students with safe, convenient, student-oriented housing.
UCR offers three housing styles to meet the needs of all our students:
- Residence halls
- Campus apartments
- Family housing
Each provides the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that will enrich your collegiate experience. In addition, our campus police force, which patrols 24 hours a day, and our on-call housing staff are committed to providing a safe and secure environment.
More about Housing Choices
- Residence Halls are the recommended and preferred home for more than 75 percent of UCR's freshman class. In fact, we guarantee residential housing in your first and even your second year.
- Graduate students have the opportunity to live in the residence hall communities as well as on-campus apartments.
- Students with families may live in our Canyon Crest Family Student Housing, which consists of two- and three-bedroom duplex homes on 55 park-like acres at the edge of the UCR campus.
- International Education Program Students can choose from a variety of housing options through UCR Extension, including the on campus International Residence Center and the International Village Student Housing.
Food on Campus
Residence hall dining facilities include a wide variety of culinary choices, including soup and salad bars, delis, pizza, and specialty food bars, all served in an all-you-can-eat setting. All plans are supplemented with Dining Dollars, which allow you to purchase items at any Dining Services-operated convenience store or dining location on campus.
