Where You Can Get Involved with UCR
There are a variety of programs and organizations that can use your help. Here is a list of just a few.
- The UCR Botanic Gardens The gardens relies on volunteers in most areas of its operations and activities. Volunteers are the backbone of all events and keep the gardens running smoothly on a day to day basis. Join and become active in the Friends of the UCR Botanic Gardens.
- Citizens University CommitteeThe Citizens University Committee (CUC) creates awareness and fosters ties between UCR and the community. Monthly breakfast meetings between the CUC and Riverside community members address issues ranging from students social activities to campus expansion.
- Affiliates of UCRThe Affiliates of UC Riverside foster friendship and understanding between the City of Riverside and UCR. The membership consists of people from the community and campus. The group's scholarship fund helps to support students, awarding over $10,000 in scholarships annually.
- Highlander Athletics AssociationThe Highlander Athletics Association provide the critical financial support required for UCR to provide life changing educational experiences for more than 300 exceptional student-athletes. Join the Highlander Athletics Association today and make a difference in the life of a student!
- UCR Advocacy NetworkThe UCR Advocacy Network enhances public understanding and supports the University of California and UCR. Advocates help convey university-wide and campus-specific messages to ensure that the university's mission as well as its legislative and budgetary objective are given due consideration by governmental decision makers and the general public.
