Our indoor facilities include:
  • A fitness center with a weight room
  • A large cardiovascular training area
  • Four racquetball and one squash court
  • Three large multi-use rooms
  • Four full size multi-use basketball courts
Our expanded Student Recreation Center Outdoor Complex includes:
  • Ten tennis courts
  • A full size roller hockey rink
  • Two sand volleyball courts
  • Two full-length basketball courts
  • Intramurals
    Over 7,500 students, staff and faculty annually participate in intramurals at UC Riverside. The program offers more than a dozen sports annually, including:

    • Dodge Ball
    • Bowling
    • Badminton
    • Table Tennis

    • Racquetball

  • Outdoor Excursions
    For over 20 years, UCR Outdoor Excursions has been serving the community with a variety of programs and services that emphasize skill development, environmental awareness and community, the outings and rental programs are open to UCR students and community members 18-years and older. Outings include:
    • Rock climbing
    • Kayaking
    • Hiking
    • Snow boarding
    • Snowshoeing
    • Snow camping
    • Backpacking
    • Team building
    • Whitewater rafting
    • Horseback riding
    • Surfing
    • Canyoneering
    • Caving
    • Snorkeling
    • Scuba

  • Recreation Classes
    Want to get fit in an aerobics class? Learn yoga? Take a basic self defense course? How about learn to play the bagpipes? These are just a few of the dozens of classes offered through the Student Recreation Center Recreation Classes and Programs. These non-credit courses are designed to teach skills that an individual can use during his or her leisure time and are taught by qualified instructors who have special skills they wish to share. Course fees cover instructor’s salary and most supplies.
  • Club Sports
    The Sport Club Program is an exciting alternative to Intramural Sports. Both recreational and competitive clubs are available for students, faculty, and staff. UCR Clubs are a great way of socializing and meeting others who share the same interests, or as a means of getting involved in an activity with a competitive team. Sports sponsored include:
    • Rugby
    • Men’s soccer
    • Women's soccer
    • Ultimate Frisbee
    • Badminton
    • Tae Kwon Do

    UCR Sport clubs are an exciting alternative to intramural sports and offer a way of getting involved in a fun and competitive environment.
