Zuk, Marlene Email the Associate Vice Provost I work in the Academic Personnel Office to help UCR recruit and retain a high quality and diverse faculty. In conjunction with the Office of Faculty and Staff Affirmative Action, I help search committees and departments develop a good pool of applicants for positions, identify highly- qualified candidates, and ensure that we comply with all the appropriate policies and procedures for recruitment. I also offer assistance with reducing barriers for hiring members of under-represented groups, and suggest ways that biases in the recruitment and treatment of faculty members can be overcome. Finally, I can help with spouse or partner accommodation in faculty hiring and retention.
